Every week, CBC Kids News takes a deep dive into a topic that’s been making headlines. This week we dug into our KN vault to highlight a topic that’s still in the news. Click the video above or below for this week’s KN Explains.

Didn’t get tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour? You can soon experience the concert in another way.

Swift’s concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, premieres in Canadian movie theatres on Oct. 13.

Theatres like AMC and Cineplex are encouraging fans to wear “Taylor Swift Eras attire and friendship bracelets” when seeing the movie.

The concert film will give audience members a cinematic view of Swift’s biggest tour yet.

That means they’ll see close-ups and multiple angles of Swift and the stage. For some, it could be better than seeing her live from far away.

The tour has been extended multiple times. The Eras Tour now spans more than 140 shows across North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia.

When first revealing The Eras Tour on Good Morning America, Swift, 33, called it a “journey through all my musical eras of my career.”

So what exactly are Taylor Swift’s eras? We’ve got a refresher for you ahead of the movie release.

Watch our explainer, which was originally published on April 25, below.
