When Barenaked Ladies released their single One Week 25 years ago, it found a kind of success they didn't even see coming.

The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, landed on soundtracks for American Pie and 10 Things I Hate About You (two of the biggest movies of 1999), was nominated for a Grammy, and skyrocketed the beloved Canadian band to worldwide fame.

To celebrate the song's 25th anniversary, Barenaked Ladies' Ed Robertson joins Q's Tom Power to share what he remembers about making One Week, and how they wrote it in a four-minute freestyle session. The band has also released a new album, In Flight, which is out now.
